Synopsis:
Set in 1937 during the Battle of Shanghai, the series (based on the historical defense of Sihang Warehouse) tells the harrowing story of 424 Chinese soldiers, known as the “Eight Hundred Heroes.” Tasked with holding back the advancing Imperial Japanese Army, the ragtag group of soldiers and deserters takes a final stand in a warehouse situated just across the Suzhou Creek from the international settlements. As the world watches from the safety of the neutral zone, the soldiers endure four days and nights of brutal siege, turning their desperate defense into a powerful symbol of national resistance and courage against overwhelming odds.
