Synopsis
Set roughly 90 years before the events of Game of Thrones, this series follows the adventures of “Dunk,” a young, naïve but courageous hedge knight known as Ser Duncan the Tall, and his diminutive squire, “Egg.” Traveling across a Westeros where the Targaryen bloodline still sits firmly on the Iron Throne and the memory of the last dragon has not yet faded, the duo navigates a land filled with chivalry, treachery, and social hierarchy. Season 1 chronicles their meeting and the high-stakes trial by combat at the Ashford Tourney, where Dunk must prove his honor against royal princes. Little do the common folk know that the humble squire Egg is actually Aegon Targaryen, the future king, learning what it truly means to lead by living among the people he will one day rule.
